BulkGate sends you the **Attempt to log in from an unknown device** e-mail when someone logs in to your account from a device we have not seen before. It is a security notification. If it was you, there is nothing to do. If not, follow the steps below.

## Why did I get the e-mail?

Every new device has to confirm the login with a verification code. A device you have verified once does not ask for the code again. So the e-mail typically arrives when you log in from a new computer, phone or browser.

## It was not me. What should I do?

1. **Change your password.** In the portal, open **Settings** (the gear icon in the top bar) > **Change password**. If you cannot log in, use [Lost password](https://www.bulkgate.com/en/helpdesk/account/lost-password/).
2. **Log out unknown devices.** In **Settings**, open **Currently logged in devices** and choose `Log out the device` for any device you do not recognise.
3. **Check alternative logins.** In **Settings** > **Alternative login**, delete any access you do not recognise.

If you suspect someone sent messages from your account, check [History](https://www.bulkgate.com/en/helpdesk/reporting/history/) and write to us through the [contact form](https://www.bulkgate.com/en/contact-us/) from your registration e-mail.

## Frequently asked questions

### I lost access to the e-mail the codes go to. What now?

You cannot change the login e-mail in the settings yourself. [Write to us](https://www.bulkgate.com/en/contact-us/) from your new e-mail and we will agree on how to verify that the account is yours.

### How do I give a colleague access without sharing my password?

Add an [alternative login](https://www.bulkgate.com/en/helpdesk/account/edit-profile/) for them with their own e-mail and password.
