Plugin settings

Plugin settings are managed straight in the BulkGate interface that opens in your e-shop administration. Click the gear icon ⚙️ (Settings) in the upper right corner — a sidebar slides out — and choose Module settings there.

The panel is shared across the BulkGate e-commerce plugins, so the options look the same in WooCommerce, PrestaShop and the other platforms. Wherever the offer differs by platform, the difference is given in brackets.

Confirm your changes with the Save button.

Contacts

Synchronise contacts and order data with your address book. Segment your contacts and better target your campaigns. Choose a preferred address to get your clients' phone numbers.

Synchronization with the address book

• all contacts — a contact from every newly created order is transferred to the address book
• contacts with sent message — only contacts the plugin has sent at least one customer message to are transferred
• don't sync — no contact from the e-shop is transferred to the address book

Preferred address for obtaining the phone number from the order

• delivery address
• billing adress

Checkout opt-in

Give customers the option to opt-in to receive marketing messages directly at checkout.

• Enable opt-in checkbox in checkout — a toggle that shows or hides the checkbox at the checkout
• Opt-in text — the text next to the checkbox, e.g. "I agree to receive promotional communications"
• Opt-in URL — a link displayed with the checkbox (typically to your data processing terms)
• Set to "checked" by default — determines whether the checkbox is unchecked (GDPR OK) or checked (GDPR grey zone) by default

The remaining three fields become active only once the toggle is switched on.

Language

Plugin language localization.

• language selection — from system (the plugin takes over the language set in the e-shop), or a specific language from the list
• Enable additional languages in Admin and Customer SMS — lets you write message texts in several language versions (in WooCommerce the languages are loaded only when you have the WPML plugin installed and active; PrestaShop is multilingual out of the box)

Dispatch Method

The option sits under Advanced settings. It determines how Admin and Customer SMS messages are sent. We recommend to keep the default setting.

• WP-cron — tasks are processed on page load: on every page load the system checks the list of scheduled tasks and runs the ones that are due (the option is named after WooCommerce, where WP-Cron handles it; in PrestaShop it is handled by the system cron run from the command line)
• Browser asset cron — a BulkGate solution, it does not block the creation of an order or its subsequent lifecycle (new → pending → shipped …); in WooCommerce this is the default option
• Direct — the message goes out right in the action being executed, so order creation and its subsequent lifecycle may wait while BulkGate processes the request

Stored module data

The option sits under Advanced settings.

• Delete all stored data when deactivating or deleting a module — uninstalling the plugin deletes all its stored data and settings. If you leave the checkbox unticked, the settings survive the uninstall and are used again after you reinstall.
