My numbers

With your own number as the sender type, recipients see your phone number in the SMS and can reply or call you on it directly. Before you use the number, you need to verify it in the portal — an unverified number cannot be used as a sender.

How to verify a number

  1. Open Settings with the gear icon ⚙️ in the top bar next to Log out.
  2. Click My numbers.
  3. If you have more than one wallet, select the one you are verifying the number for. With a single wallet this step is skipped.
  4. Enter the phone number and click Send verification code. If you already have some verified numbers, click Add first.
  5. You will receive an SMS with a six-digit code. Enter it in the Verification code field and click Verify.

The portal confirms Number successfully verified and the number appears in the list. The country prefix is pre-filled according to the country in your profile.

The verification code

  • The code is valid for 7 days, so you do not have to enter it right away.
  • You can have it resent after one minute at the earliest, at most five times in total.
  • You have five attempts to enter the code. When you use them up, the verification ends and you need to start again.

You can verify only one number at a time. Cancel a verification in progress with Cancel verification. If the number is already verified for the selected wallet, the portal reports Number was already verified.

Numbers and wallets

A verified number belongs to a wallet, not to the whole account. If you send from several wallets, verify the number for each of them separately.

Deleting a number

In the list, click the bin icon next to the number and confirm the deletion. The number can then no longer be used as a sender; if you need it again, verify it again.

Where you can use your own number

  • when choosing the sender in an SMS campaign,
  • in sender ID profiles for individual countries,
  • over the API as a sender of type gOwn — see SMS object.
Note

Own number is not available in every country. You can find which sender types can be used in a given country in the price list.
